It can be tightly fixed to the wound edges.

AGILTERA offers the eggs of Lucilia sericata together with a sterile feeding agar in a transport flask. Eggs can easily be transformed to larvae by this device. In addition to Lucilia sericata ova pharmacists or physicians will get a set of all materials needed for preparation and usage of the larvae: our self-2-made set.

To fix the larvae onto the wound AGILTERA offers a gauze, our AgilPad. Escape of larvae is unlikely by using this medicinal device. Depending on the conditions of the wound the gauze must be wetted or secondary dressing must be changed to remove exudates. When the débridement is finished or the larvae have been grown to their final stage the gauze must be removed.
